Ambica General Stores

You can find Ambica General Stores up on the 1st Floor of Bhishma Complex. We are at 108 Tankshal Road in Kalupur, right across from N C Bodywala College. Being on the first floor is a bit different from the shops on the street, but students from the college find us easily enough. We keep a lot of stationery and snacks because of the location. Ahmedabad is hot most of the year, so the fans are always going in here. The stairs up to the complex can be a bit steep for some, but once you’re here, we have most things you’d expect from a general store. I’ve been working here for a long time. The view of Tankshal Road from the window is mostly just traffic and people rushing to classes. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy with all the talk from the street. We keep the shop open during the usual hours, and things get really busy during the breaks at the college. I try to keep the aisles clear, but boxes of new stock usually sit near the entrance until I have time to put them away. It's a decent spot in Kalupur. We don't have a big sign or anything, just the name on the door. Most people who come here are regulars who live or study nearby. It's just a regular daily job for us. I usually bring my own lunch and eat it right here at the counter.
