Akshar General Stores

We are located at 4, Ramrajya Society in Viratnagar, which is in the Odhav area of Ahmedabad. We are near Ghanshyam N. The shop is part of the society, so we are right where the families live. It’s a convenient spot for the people who don't want to go all the way to the main market for every little thing. We keep a bit of everything, from washing powder to biscuits. The heat in Ahmedabad can be quite something, so we spend a lot of the afternoon in the shade of the shop. The floor is concrete and we sweep it every couple of hours because of the dust that blows in from the road. We know the regular customers very well. We know whose kid likes which chocolate and who prefers a specific brand of tea. It is a quiet life for the most part. We don't have big sales or colorful posters on the windows. The sign outside is a bit faded from the sun. We open the doors early and stay open until the street lights come on in the society. Sometimes we sit outside on a plastic chair when there are no customers. You can hear the sounds of families cooking dinner nearby. It is just a neighborhood shop trying to keep the essentials in stock for the people who live in Ramrajya and around it. Nothing more to it.
