Ajanta Hair Art

Ajanta Hair Art is situated in the Behrampura area. We are quite close to the Bhulabhai Cross Road and not far from Kankaria Road either. This is an old part of Ahmedabad and it has a lot of character. Our shop is a small place where we have been working for quite some time. The noise from the crossroad is something we have gotten used to over the years. We have a couple of chairs and the basic tools like clippers and scissors. It is a very simple setup with no fancy chairs or expensive lighting. We mostly do haircuts for the men and boys in the neighborhood. People stop by after they finish work or on their way to the market. The walls are painted a plain color and we have a few pictures of different hair styles for people to look at. We don't have a website or anything like that, we just rely on people knowing we are here. The morning starts with us opening the shutters and cleaning the front area. We spend the day cutting hair and chatting with the locals who come in to rest for a bit. It is a humble place and we don't try to make it seem like more than it is. We just provide a service to the people living around Behrampura. It is honest work and we enjoy the daily routine of the shop.
