Adarsh Convent School

We’ve been at 34/A in Sardar Nagar for quite a while now. Adarsh Convent School is just a regular part of this neighborhood in Ahmedabad. It is not a fancy place with big statues or anything, just a normal building where kids from around here come to do their lessons every day. We open the doors pretty early in the morning, and the hallways get noisy almost immediately as the students start arriving. There is always a lot of chatter and the sound of bags hitting the desks. Our teachers just focus on getting through the textbooks and making sure the kids understand what is written on the blackboard. Sometimes things get a bit hectic when the bells ring for the end of a period or during the lunch breaks. We do not have a massive playground, but we make use of the space we have outside the main door. It is a very practical setup. Most of the families living in Sardar Nagar know us by now. We see many of the same faces at the gate every single morning. The classrooms are basic, with the usual desks and fans that hum when it gets hot in the afternoon. We don’t have any big mission statements on the walls. It is just a local school doing its job. If you walk past our address, you’ll probably hear the kids reciting something or just the general noise of a school day.
