Aagash School

If you head over to the C P Nagar Society in the Bhuyangdev area, you will find Aagash School at plot A-15. We are right in the middle of a residential neighborhood in Ahmedabad, so the school feels very much like part of the community. The 380052 area is a nice place to be, and being inside the society keeps the worst of the city noise away. Our building is just a regular house that we have converted into a space for learning. It has a front gate and a little bit of space where the kids can stand around before the classes start. We don't have any big signs or neon lights. Most of the people who live in the society know us well because we’ve been here for a long time. The classrooms are just the regular rooms of the house, which makes the atmosphere feel quite personal. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who handle everything from the teaching to the cleaning. Sometimes we have to move the furniture around to make space for a bigger group. It’s all very informal but we make it work. Most of our students live just a few streets away. It’s a quiet, local school where everyone knows everyone else’s business. We just try to keep things simple for the kids and their parents.
