Aadharshila School

Our school is located right off the Ahmedabad Himmatnagar National Highway No 8 in Valad. Being near the highway means we get a lot of breeze, but also the distant sound of trucks passing by all day. It’s a bit outside the main Gandhinagar city area, which gives us more space than a school right in the center would have. The building is large and stands out quite a bit when you are driving past. We have a big open area where the students gather for their morning routine and for sports later in the day. The classrooms are simple, with enough light and air for everyone. We don't have any shiny brochures or a big sales team. What you see is what you get—a place where teachers show up every day to teach and kids come to learn. Most of our staff live in the nearby villages or in Gandhinagar and commute here. We spend a lot of time making sure the grounds are kept clean and that the kids are staying on track with their studies. It’s a lot of work to maintain a school of this size out here, but we’ve got a good rhythm going. Sometimes the dust from the road is a bit much, but we just sweep it out and keep going. We are just a local school trying to do a decent job for the families in this part of Gujarat.
