A Play School

We are over in Meghaninagar at A Play School, tucked into the G.H.B. Kalapi Nagar area. Our specific spot is Block Number 140/1096. If you live around here in Ahmedabad, you know these housing board blocks pretty well. It’s a very residential kind of feel, with neighbors always around and people going about their grocery shopping or heading to work. We set up the school right in the middle of all that. The kids from the nearby blocks come over in the morning, and there’s always a bit of noise and laughter when they’re arriving. We don’t have a giant playground, but we use the space we have. It’s a very local operation. Most of us who work here live not too far away, so we know the families and the shops on the corner. Meghaninagar can get a bit crowded, but our little corner in Kalapi Nagar is home to us. We spend our days making sure the little ones are safe and busy with their activities. It’s not a high-pressure environment; we just take things one day at a time. The building itself is just part of the regular block architecture you see all over this part of Ahmedabad. We keep the doors open, let the air in when it’s not too dusty, and just do our job. It's a simple life at the school and we like it that way.
