Aakrithi Play School

We spend most of our mornings here at Rajpath Highway Society just off the main road in Bodakdev. It gets pretty loud once the kids start showing up around nine. There are always shoes scattered near the door because toddlers never seem to put them in the right place. Aakrithi Play School isn't a huge fancy building, but it works for what we do. The rooms have posters of alphabets and colors that are starting to curl at the edges. Sometimes the snacks get spilled on the floor and we have to clean up quickly before the next activity. It’s mostly about keeping them busy with blocks and some drawing while their parents are at work. Outside, the traffic on the SG Highway hums in the background, but inside it's mostly the sound of someone crying because they didn't get the blue crayon or kids laughing. We have a small staff here who know all the parents by face. It's a bit of a squeeze in some of the rooms when everyone is there at once. The address is 13, Rajpath Highway Society, and most people find us just fine once they turn off the highway. We’ve had a few rainy days where the hallway gets a bit muddy from the little boots. It is just a normal place where children spend their day doing things children do. Nothing more to it than that really. It's just life here.
