A N K Mehta High School

You can find A N K Mehta High School at Jagabhai Park in Maninagar. We occupy the ground and second floors of 68 B, which is known as Shelat Bhuvan. It’s a bit of an unusual layout having the middle floor used for something else, but it works for us. We have been in this building for many years. Jagabhai Park is a residential area, so it’s a bit quieter than the main roads. Most of our students are from the nearby houses and apartments. We have the classrooms spread across those two levels. It’s a local high school where everyone pretty much knows everyone else. We don't have a big playground or a huge campus. We just have our rooms and the hallway. The teachers are regular people from the city. We don't put on any airs about being a fancy international place. We just focus on the lessons and making sure the kids show up on time. The building is an older style, typical for this part of Ahmedabad. We keep the place running day in and day out. Sometimes there are events in the park nearby that we can hear from the windows. It’s a very grounded, local school. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just teach the kids who live around here and keep things moving. The routine is the same every year and we like it that way.
