A. N. D Public School

If you are looking for A. N. D Public School, you have to head up to the first floor of the Aditya building. We are right on Jivan Twin Road in Nikol. It’s a busy spot, especially in the mornings when the shops downstairs start opening up their shutters. Being on the first floor means we are a bit away from the street dust, but you can still hear the rickshaws and bikes going by. The space inside is laid out simply. We have partitioned the rooms to make enough space for the different classes. It isn’t a massive campus with a big field, but we make use of what we have. Most of the families who send their children here live within a couple of kilometers. You see the same parents every day at the entrance. The hallway can get a bit narrow when everyone is moving between classes, but we manage. We don’t have a big fancy office. There is just a desk for paperwork and some chairs for visitors. The walls are painted a plain color, and we hang up some of the student drawings to make it look a bit more lively. It’s a practical place for learning. We don’t try to be something we aren't. It’s just a school where the kids study and the teachers teach. Everyone knows everyone else's name, which makes it feel quite small and local.
