Theba Farmer Producer Company Limited is based right here in Theba village. You’ll find us at Manshukhlal Chhagan’s place. Theba Vado is where we mostly hang out and get our work done. It’s a quiet village in the Jamnagar district. Most of us here have been farming since we were boys. The ground is familiar to us, and so are the struggles that come with it. We didn’t start this company to sit in an office. We started it because the markets were getting harder to deal with on our own. Manshukhlal helps keep things organized, but we’re all out in the fields most of the time. The office is really just a room with a fan and some old ledgers. We talk about the rain, the pests, and the price of fertilizer. There isn't any corporate talk here. We say what we think, even if we end up arguing a bit. It’s just how things are in a small village. We grow what we can and hope the weather stays kind to us. Sometimes the paperwork feels like more work than plowing a field, but we try to keep up with it. If you ever find yourself in Tal Jamnagar, just head to Theba and look for the Vado. We’ll probably be there talking about the next harvest or fixing some piece of equipment that broke down. That is just the way we do things around here.
