We set up Jesingpur Farmers Producer Company Limited a while back because it felt like the right thing to do for the folks around here. You can find us over at 170, Someshwara Park in Thaltej. It isn't a huge flashy building or anything, just a regular spot where we handle the day-to-day stuff that comes with farming. Some mornings it is just two of us drinking tea and looking at spreadsheets, and other times the room is full of people arguing about market prices or the rain. Farming is hard work and trying to run a company together adds another layer to that, honestly. We mostly deal with getting things from the fields to where they need to go without too much fuss. There is always a lot of paperwork, which none of us really like, but it has to get done if we want to keep things official. We aren't trying to be some big corporate entity. We are just local people trying to make sure the work pays off. If you drop by Thaltej, you’ll see we are just keeping at it. The chairs in the office don't match and the fan makes a bit of noise, but it works for what we need. It’s mostly about making sure everyone gets a fair shake. We’ve had good years and some pretty lean ones too. That is just how it goes when you’re working with the land. We just keep showing up.
