If you ever find yourself on Ashram Road in Ahmedabad, you might notice the Hotel Patang. We are right behind it in Narayan Chambers. Our office, Rpa Agriculture Infrastructure And Solutions Private Limited, is up on the second floor, rooms 20 and 21. It’s a typical city office building, nothing too special to look at from the outside. We spend most of our time thinking about agriculture infrastructure. It sounds like a big term, but really we just look for ways to help make farming setups work better. Being in the middle of Ahmedabad means we are a bit far from the actual fields, but we have people coming in and out all day with different projects. The office is usually a bit of a mess with blueprints and plans spread out on the desks. We don’t really go for that polished corporate look because that’s just not us. We are more interested in the practical side of how a greenhouse or a storage facility gets built. Some days are long, especially when we are trying to coordinate things across different parts of Gujarat. The traffic on Ashram Road can be a nightmare in the evenings, so we often stay late to finish up our notes. It’s a lot of hard work and sometimes things don’t go exactly as planned, but we just keep pushing forward with the next solution. We are just a small group of people trying to do something useful.
