If you find yourself in the Mandvi area, you might end up in Limdha village. We are located in the Patelfaliya section of the village, at Babubhai Kutrabhai’s place. That is where we run Panchguni Farmer Producer Company Limited. It’s a very local operation. We don’t have a big sign or anything like that. Most people just know us by name. The village life here is simple. We deal with the crops that grow well in this soil. Being a producer company means we spend a lot of our time trying to organize the harvest and seeing where it can be sent. It’s a lot of coordination between different families in the area. We have our meetings in the shade when it’s too hot inside. There’s no air conditioning or anything like that, just the breeze if we’re lucky. We use simple tools and keep our records as best as we can. Sometimes the rain makes it hard to get around, but that’s just part of living in the Mandvi region. We aren’t trying to be some massive corporation. We just want to make sure the farmers here get a fair shake. We’ve all grown up around these fields, so we understand the struggles when the crop isn’t great or the market prices drop. It’s just us working together, day by day, trying to keep the farming tradition going in Limdha. We do our best with what we have.
