Fruits Valley Farm Products Sabarmati is located over in Thaltej at H/24, Hariom Park, which is part of the Manilaxmi Society. It’s a residential area, so it’s not like a big factory or a noisy warehouse. We focus on fruit products and getting them from the farms to people’s homes. Sabarmati is part of our name because that’s where we first started thinking about all this. It’s just a few of us working together to handle the fruit when it’s in season. Things get very busy when the mangoes or other fruits are ready to be picked. We spend a lot of time on the phone with growers and then trying to get the crates moved to the city. Our space in Hariom Park is usually full of boxes and the smell of whatever is fresh that week. It’s not a fancy operation. We don’t have a marketing team or anything like that. We just tell people what we have and they come to get it or we send it out. Some days the logistics are a nightmare, and other days everything goes smooth. We’re just regular people trying to run a small business. We try to keep our prices fair for the farmers and for the folks buying the fruit. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy during the day. We like being in Thaltej because it’s easy for people to find us.
