Dolara Farmers Producer Company Limited

Dolara Farmers Producer Company Limited is based at 170 Someshwara Park in the Thaltej area. It’s a regular house that we use for our business operations. Thaltej is a nice part of town, and being in a residential park makes it feel a bit more personal. We are a company made up of farmers from the Dolara region. We don't have a fancy lobby or a bunch of assistants. Most of the time it’s just a couple of us sitting around a table talking about crop yields and market rates. We started this because we wanted a way to sell our produce without getting squeezed by middlemen. It’s been a learning process for all of us. We have to deal with a lot of government forms and bank stuff that we didn't know much about at first. The office is usually full of maps and ledger books. We aren't polished business people. We still have dirt under our fingernails most days. We don't spend money on advertising. We just rely on the other farmers in our group to spread the word. Some days are stressful when the market prices drop, but we stick together. We use this space to plan out the next planting season and figure out who needs what supplies. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s our life. We just do the best we can with the tools we have in Thaltej.
