Dhrumi Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are over here in Amla village, which is part of the Padra area. If you ask around for Vishalbhai Vinubhai Patel’s place, most folks will point you toward H-2/121 in the Kumbhar Nu Tekaru neighborhood. That’s where Dhrumi Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of. It’s a quiet village mostly, but we stay busy with the farming side of things. A few of us got together because it made more sense to work as a group than just doing everything alone on our own plots. We deal with whatever the local farmers are growing in the soil here. Sometimes it’s a lot of coordination, making sure everyone is on the same page. The office isn’t much to look at, just a room where we keep our papers and talk about the crops. We spend a lot of time outside though. The weather in Padra can be tough, especially when the rains are late or if it gets too dry. We don’t have a big corporate office or any of that stuff. It’s just us, the local guys from the village, trying to figure out the best way to handle the harvests. Usually, someone is dropping by to talk about prices or seeds. It’s a lot of talk over tea while we figure out the schedule for the week. We’ve lived here all our lives, so we know every corner of Amla. It’s a simple way of living, and we just take each day as it comes.
