Dhakore Matar Producer Company Limited

Our office is located in Naya Ram Nagar, right near the Congress office. It’s Rajendra Prasad’s place where we handle all the business for the peas we grow. Matar is a big deal for us farmers here in Dhakore. We decided to form this company so we could work together instead of everyone doing their own thing. It makes the logistics a bit easier to handle. The location is easy to find if you know the area. It’s not a big factory, just a place where we coordinate the picking and the selling. We spend a lot of time on our mobile phones calling around to see who needs what. Sometimes the office is full of people and sometimes it’s just one person doing the accounts. We don't have a lot of money for fancy stuff, so we keep the overhead low. The focus is always on the peas. We have to watch the weather closely because one bad frost can ruin everything. It’s a lot of hard work and sometimes we get stressed out when the market prices drop. But we’ve been doing this for years, so we know the drill. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big words. We just want to run a decent business and support the local families. Naya Ram Nagar is a good spot for us. People know us and they know where to find us. We just take it one day at a time here.
