You can find us at Shop No. 02, right there in Patelvadisardar Chowk. It’s a central spot, so most people in the neighborhood pass by us at some point. We are the Akhatrij Farmer Producer Company Limited. We work with farmers, helping them out with their produce and getting things organized. The shop isn't very large. It’s just a ground-floor space where we can meet people and keep our records. Sardar Chowk is usually quite lively. There are other shops nearby, and someone is always stopping in to say hello. We don’t go for anything fancy. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but the work is more important than the looks. We spend our days discussing crops and seasons. It is a local business, run by people who live right here. We don’t have a website with a bunch of promises. We just talk to people face to face. That’s how we’ve always done it. If the fan is making a clicking noise, we just ignore it and carry on. The focus is always on the farmers and the collective work we are doing. It’s a humble setup, but it’s ours. We just get the job done without making a big fuss about it. Just simple, everyday work in the heart of the chowk. We enjoy the coffee from the stall nearby and keep things moving. There is always someone coming or going in this part of town.
