Swamilal Shah Adarsh Sindhi Inter College

The school is right here in Charbagh, Shahganj. It’s been here for a long time. People around Agra know where we are. It’s a busy spot. Every morning, the street gets crowded with kids and rickshaws. The building is old but we keep it clean as much as we can. It’s an inter college, so we have the older students mostly. Sometimes the noise from the market outside comes into the classrooms, but you get used to it after a while. We don’t have fancy things here, just desks and boards and the usual stuff you find in a school. The staff room is usually full of tea cups and notebooks that need checking. We try to keep things moving. Most of the families living around Shah Ganj send their children here because it’s close by. It’s not like those big private schools with buses and everything. Most kids just walk or come on cycles. In the summer, the fans in the rooms are always running fast, but it stays pretty hot anyway. We have a small area where kids stand for assembly. It gets a bit dusty when the wind blows through the gates. But this is just how things are in this part of Agra. We’ve been at this address for years and people know us by name. It’s just a regular place where teaching happens every single day, year after year.
