S N A Int Coll is located out in Village Sakalpur, near the Post Arela area in Agra. It is a bit of a drive if you are coming from the main city market. Most of the people working here grew up around these parts or in the other nearby villages. The school sits on a quiet piece of land. During the harvest season, the fields all around us look really nice and green. The building is simple, just made of bricks and concrete. We have a central courtyard where everyone gathers for the morning start. It gets really hot during the summer months, so we use ceiling fans that sometimes make a bit of a clicking noise. The road leading to the post office in Arela is the main way people find us. We have plenty of students who walk quite a distance to get here every morning from their homes. It is a basic setup without any of the modern stuff you see in big cities. We have wooden benches that have been around for quite a few years now. The teachers are mostly local folks who know all the families in Sakalpur. We deal with the usual problems like mud during the rainy season and keeping the gates shut so the village cows do not wander into the yard. It is a peaceful spot for the most part. People in the village know us as the place where the neighborhood kids go for their daily lessons. We do not even have a big sign.
