Victoria Inter College

I have been working at Victoria Inter College for quite a while now. Our place is right on City Station Road, so it gets pretty noisy with the traffic and people moving toward Ghatia Azam Khan Chowk all day long. Being in a busy part of Agra like this means there is never a dull moment. The building itself is an old one, with high ceilings and heavy doors that sometimes creak when the wind catches them. I usually arrive early to open the main gate before the students start showing up on their cycles or walking from the nearby streets. The 282003 area is crowded, but you get used to the rhythm of it. There is a small tea stall just down the road where most of us go during the break to get a quick cup. We don't have any of those fancy modern facilities you might see in the big city papers, but we have enough benches and blackboards to get the job done. Sometimes the electricity goes out in the middle of a hot afternoon, and we just have to open all the windows and hope for a breeze. It’s a simple life running a school here. We don't spend money on big advertisements or anything like that. Most people just know us because we’ve been on this road for as long as anyone can remember. It's just a regular school for regular people in Agra.
