Sun Flower Girls Inter College

Sun Flower Girls Inter College is located in the Mohan Nagar area of Sahadra, right here in Agra. It’s a place for girls from the neighborhood to come and study for their higher secondary years. The building is tucked into a busy part of Sahadra, so there’s always the sound of scooters and people talking outside the walls. We have classrooms that get quite bright in the morning sun, which is nice until it gets too hot in the summer months. Most of our work involves keeping track of the attendance and making sure the girls are focused on their upcoming board exams. We have an old staff room where the teachers sit and grade papers while drinking tea. There is a small courtyard where everyone gathers for the morning prayer, and it’s probably the only time the place is actually quiet. Managing a college for girls in this part of Agra means we have to be very regular with our timings and keep a close eye on the gate. We don't have a lot of modern gadgets, but we have enough benches and books to keep things running. It’s a very grounded place, and we are just here to help the local families get their daughters through their schooling without any unnecessary fuss or complications. The Mohan Nagar area is crowded but it feels like a community once you are inside the gate.
