Sumita Devi Girls Degree College

Our college is situated within the S.R.K. College Campus in Firozabad. Firozabad is a busy place, famous for its glass, but over here on the campus, it is a bit more settled. We are specifically a girls' degree college. The campus is shared, so there are always people moving around, and you see students from different departments everywhere. It’s located in Uttar Pradesh, zip code 283203. We don't have a separate, fancy entrance just for us; we are part of the larger campus life. The buildings are old-fashioned and simple. We have the classrooms we need and a place for the girls to sit during breaks. It's a very local atmosphere. Most of our students come from the nearby neighborhoods of Firozabad. We don't do big advertisements or anything. People just know we are here inside the SRK gates. Sometimes the electricity acts up, or the water cooler needs fixing, but that’s just how it is. We manage things with what we have. The staff knows most of the families around here. It feels like a small community even though we are part of a bigger institution. We just try to keep a steady environment for the students who come here every day to get their degrees. It’s a plain and simple setup, nothing more and nothing less. This is our reality here in Firozabad, just a group of people working together in these old buildings.
