Shri Shiv Prasad Rashtriya Inter College

If you take the Bharatpur Road out toward Achnera in Agra, you’ll come across Shri Shiv Prasad Rashtriya Inter College. It’s a landmark for many of the folks living in this part of the district. The college building is an older one, with thick walls and high ceilings that help a bit with the Uttar Pradesh heat. We have students coming in from all the nearby farms and small settlements. It’s an inter college, so the students are a bit older, and you can see them standing in groups outside during the intervals. The atmosphere is quite traditional. We don't have much for fancy gadgets; we still rely on chalk and heavy textbooks. The routine hasn't changed much over the years. We start the day early before the sun gets too high. There is a lot of dust from the road, and the sound of trucks passing by is something we’ve all gotten used to. Our staff are mostly local people who have been teaching here for decades. They know the families and the history of the area. It’s a place where hard work is expected because most of the kids here know they need their education to move forward. It’s not a polished or shiny campus, but it’s ours, and it serves the purpose it was built for. Every day is about showing up and getting the lessons done despite the noise and dust.
