Shri Salig Ram Inter College

Shri Salig Ram Inter College sits right on Fatehabad Road in Agra. If you have ever been to this part of the city, you know how busy the traffic gets with all the tourists and locals moving around. Our building is an old landmark in the neighborhood, and many families have been sending their kids here for years. It is a place with high ceilings and heavy wooden doors that have seen better days. Every morning, the sound of the bell rings out across the street, signaling the start of the first period. The students come in wearing their uniforms, carrying heavy bags, and chatting about their homework. We have a lot of classrooms that stay cool in the summer because of the thick walls. The teachers here are mostly locals who have lived in Agra their whole lives. We don't have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. Instead, there are just long corridors and a playground where the boys play cricket when they get the chance. Sometimes the dust from the road blows in, but we just sweep it out and keep going. It is a practical sort of place where the focus is on getting the students through their intermediate exams. We don’t make a big fuss about things; we just show up and do the work. The building might need a fresh coat of paint soon, but inside, the learning is happening just like it always has.
