About Shri Ratnamuni Jain Kanya Inter College – Education in Agra
We’ve been here in Lohamandi for quite a while now. The college building sits right in the middle of all the noise and bustle of Agra. Most of the girls who come here are from nearby streets, walking in every morning with their bags. It gets pretty loud when the classes change, but that’s just how it is in a school. Our rooms are old and have high ceilings, which helps a bit with the heat during those long summer months. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just open all the windows wide. The teachers usually gather in the small staff room during the break to share their lunch and talk about the day’s lessons. We don’t have fancy stuff here, just the basic desks and boards. It’s a busy place with a lot of movement from morning until the final bell rings in the afternoon. People in the neighborhood know us well. You can see parents waiting by the gate when it's time to go home. We try to keep things organized, though it gets a bit chaotic when there’s a big event or exams are happening. The floors get dusty with all the feet coming through, so there's always someone sweeping. It's just a regular life here, day in and day out, watching these girls grow up and move on to whatever they do next. It feels like a big family most of the time, even when things are a little messy or loud.
