Shri B S I College

Shri B S I College is located in Baghel Colony, in the Tedi Bagiya area of Agra. This isn't the part of Agra where the tourists go to see the Taj Mahal; it’s a regular neighborhood where people live and work. The college has been around for a good while, serving the local students who need a place to continue their studies after high school. It’s a plain building, nothing too fancy to look at from the outside. Inside, we have rows of benches and some old fans that hum quite loudly in the heat of the afternoon. We offer various courses, mostly focusing on the arts and commerce side of things. The students come from all sorts of backgrounds. Some are very serious about their books, while others are just there to hang out with their friends in between lectures. We have a small canteen that sells tea and samosas, which is where most people gather when they have a free period. The administration office is always a bit cluttered with papers and files, but we know where everything is. We don't try to pretend to be something we’re not. It’s just a place for local young people to get their degrees and figure out what they want to do with their lives. The road outside is often dusty, and the parking for students' cycles can get a bit messy, but that's just part of the daily routine here in Agra.
