Our college is situated in Agra, right in the 283112 zip code area of Uttar Pradesh. It’s a local institution where students from the surrounding neighborhoods come for their higher secondary education. The building is a solid structure that has seen many groups of students pass through its doors over the years. We have basic classrooms with rows of benches and large windows that look out onto the local streets. It’s not a fancy place with high-tech gadgets in every corner, but we have what is needed for daily lessons. The hallways are usually noisy during the breaks, and you can hear the sound of the ceiling fans clicking away in the summer heat. Most of the staff have been here for a long time and they know the families in the area quite well. There is a small office where all the paperwork gets handled, and it’s usually piled high with files. Students spend their time preparing for exams and hanging out in the courtyard during lunch. The rhythm of the day is pretty predictable, starting early in the morning and wrapping up by the afternoon. We deal with the usual issues like leaky taps or flickering lights every now and then. It’s just a regular college serving the local community in Agra. People come here to study, take their tests, and hopefully find a good path forward. It feels very grounded and real, without any unnecessary extras or polished marketing.
