Ramsahaey Verma Inter College

Ramsahaey Verma Inter College is out in Basoni, which is part of the Bah area near Agra. It’s a rural setting, so things move a bit slower here than they do in the middle of the city. The college building is a sturdy brick structure surrounded by a lot of open space and fields. Most of our students come from the nearby farming families, and some of them have to travel quite a distance to get here every morning. We have large classrooms with high ceilings to help with the heat during the summer months. The furniture is simple wood and metal, nothing fancy, but it does the job. Our office is usually busy with people coming in to register for exams or pick up their certificates. It’s a very practical place where the focus is just on getting through the daily lessons. During the winter, the mornings can be quite foggy and cold, and the students all arrive bundled up in sweaters. We don’t have a lot of bells and whistles, just a commitment to keeping the doors open and the classes running. The staff members are mostly locals who understand the challenges the students face living so far from the main city. We’ve had many students pass through these halls over the years, and it’s always nice when they stop back by to say hello after they’ve moved on to bigger things. It’s just a quiet, hard-working college in a corner of Agra.
