Raja Munshi Singh Girls Inter College

Raja Munshi Singh Girls Inter College is located on Shamshabad Road in the Rajpur area of Agra. The building has an older feel to it, with thick walls and high windows that look out toward the street. Being a girls' college, we have a lot of students coming from the surrounding neighborhoods of Agra every morning. The front gate is where the rickshaws and cycles gather at the start and end of the day. Inside, there is a large courtyard where the girls sit during their free periods or for morning prayers. The classrooms are basic, with rows of desks and a chair for the teacher at the front. We have a small library with old books that have been passed down through many classes over the years. The teachers often sit together in the staff room during their break, drinking tea and talking about their families. It’s a very traditional environment where things haven’t changed much over the decades. We have a few fans in each room, but they can be a bit noisy when they are on full speed in the summer. The sound of the city outside on Shamshabad Road is always there, but once the lessons start, everyone focuses on their notebooks. We don't have a lot of extra trimmings, just the essentials needed for a school to run. It’s a community-focused place that serves the local families in Rajpur without any unnecessary fuss or complicated rules.
