Pandit Ayodhya Prasad Inter College

Pandit Ayodhya Prasad Inter College is located in the Shah Ganj area of Agra. It is a busy part of the city, and our college is right in the middle of it. The building is an older style, which you see a lot in this part of town. We have high ceilings and heavy wooden doors in some of the rooms. Every morning, the street outside is full of students in their uniforms making their way to the gate. It is an intermediate college, so the students are mostly in those final years of school where things get a bit more serious with the board exams. We have a courtyard where everyone gathers for the morning assembly or just to stand around during the break. The office is usually piled high with files and registers because there is a lot of manual work involved in keeping things running. We don't have fancy air conditioning, just the big old fans that hum while the lessons are going on. Sometimes the monkeys from the neighborhood come onto the roof and make a bit of a racket. It is just part of being in Agra. We focus on the daily teaching and making sure the kids are prepared for their tests. It is a simple place with a lot of history in the local community of Shah Ganj. We just keep doing what we do every day.
