P Devi Ram Ramnivas I College

P Devi Ram Ramnivas I College is located out on Dhamaina Road in Shamsabad. It’s a bit of a drive from the main parts of Agra, but it serves the families living in this area. The road can be a bit bumpy, especially after the rains, but the college stays open regardless. It’s a simple building, mostly brick and concrete, designed to be sturdy rather than pretty. We have a few dozen classrooms and a small office where all the admin work happens. You won't find any corporate logos or high-end lounge areas here. It’s a place for studying, plain and simple. Most of the kids come from the nearby villages and walk or ride their bikes to get here. The atmosphere is quite relaxed, and the teachers usually know the families of the students. It’s that kind of neighborhood. In the summer, we keep the fans going at full speed to deal with the Agra heat. We don't have a big marketing budget, so we just rely on being a consistent presence in Shamsabad. Sometimes the power goes out, or we run out of chalk, but we just manage with what we have. It’s a real, working college for real people. Being at 282001 means we are part of the local landscape, and we’re fine with that. It’s just a regular school day, every day, for everyone who walks through the gates on Dhamaina Road.
