Keval Ram Gurumukh Das Inter College is right in the middle of Hing Ki Mandi in Agra. If you know Agra, you know this area is always crowded and full of life. The college has been standing here for quite a while. It’s a big building with a lot of history in its walls. The hallways are long and have seen many students pass through over the decades. We teach the standard inter college subjects here. It’s not a quiet place because of where we are located. The sounds of the market and the traffic are just part of the background. We have old wooden desks that have been used by generations. Sometimes the paint is peeling a bit, but we try to keep it decent. The students come from all the nearby neighborhoods. We have a routine that we follow every single day. The bell rings, and everyone goes to their rooms. It gets very hot in the summer, but we have high ceilings which helps a little. We don’t have much in the way of modern tech gadgets. It’s mostly chalk and blackboards around here. People know us as a landmark in the Mandi. We just focus on the books and the exams. It’s a simple life for the staff and the students. We open the gates early and close them once the last student leaves.
