Digamber Jain Inter College

Our college is located in Dhuliya Ganj, right in the heart of Agra. It’s an old part of the city, so the streets can be narrow and quite crowded at times. The building itself has been standing for a long time, and you can see that in the architecture and the way the hallways feel. Being a Digamber Jain institution, we’ve always had a specific place in the community here. It’s an inter college, so we have a lot of young people coming through these doors every day. The classrooms are high-ceilinged and can get a bit chilly in the winter months, but we’re used to it. We don't really have a big office with fancy computers; it's more about ledgers and handwritten notes around here. The staff mostly consists of people who have lived in Agra their whole lives. We just go about our business of teaching the subjects and keeping the building in decent shape. There’s always something that needs fixing, whether it’s a leaky pipe or a broken window pane. We don't spend money on advertising because everyone in Dhuliya Ganj already knows where we are. It’s a very traditional setup. We just focus on the daily lessons and making sure the bells ring on time. It’s a steady, quiet kind of place in a very busy city. We just do what needs doing for the students.
