A.P.S Higher Secondary School

People around Sikandra probably know where we are, right in Gayatrivihar. It’s been a while since we started A.P.S Higher Secondary School here in Agra. The building is usually pretty busy from early morning when the buses pull up. You’ll see kids running around the front gate before the bell rings. We have different classrooms for the younger ones and the older students finishing their higher secondary years. It’s not fancy, just a place where learning happens every day. Sometimes the dust from the road gets in, but we keep things as tidy as we can. The teachers here live nearby mostly, so everyone knows each other’s families. We’ve seen a lot of kids grow up and move on to college from these halls. Agra is a big city, but our little corner in Gayatriviharsikandra feels more like a community. We don’t have those big shiny brochures you see from international schools. It’s just us doing our jobs and making sure the students have their books ready. During lunch, it gets loud, which is normal for any school. We try to keep the playground area decent so they have a spot to sit. It’s a lot of work keeping a school running in 282007, but we manage. If you walk past, you’ll hear the teachers talking or someone practicing for a local event. That’s just how things go here at A.P.S. We try to keep the gates painted and the windows clean, even if the building is getting old.
