We are located in Lake Town, right here in Kolkata at Block A. Our office is on the third floor, flat 3A. Machibhanga Farmers Producer Company Limited is basically a group of people trying to make things work for the local farming community while being based in the city. It gets busy here but we manage. Most days you will find us sitting around the table looking at papers or talking on the phone with folks back in the fields. It isn't a fancy setup at all. There are a few chairs, some desks, and a lot of tea being drunk throughout the day. We started this because there was a need to organize things better for the producers who do not always have a voice in the big markets. Lake Town is a good spot for us to reach people. The address 866 is easy to find if you know the area near LP 103/3/2. We aren't here to impress anyone with big words or shiny logos. We just want to get the job done and help the farmers get what they need to keep going. If you drop by, you might see us dealing with the daily grind of paperwork and logistics. It’s hard work and sometimes the fans make too much noise, but that’s just how it is. We spend a lot of time figuring out how to move stuff from one place to another without losing money. It is just a local operation with people who care.
