Beraberi Nabadiganta Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are located in Beraberi, near Ashokenagar. The office is at Pankaj Bala’s place. This area is mostly farmland and small houses. We are a group of people from the Beraberi Gram Panchyat who decided to work as a team. Farming can be lonely and difficult if you are doing it all by yourself. We found that by joining up, we can get things done a lot faster. We deal with the stuff that grows right here in our soil. Every morning, there is something to check on, whether it's the plants or the equipment. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment, but we make do with what we have. It’s a very local thing. We know our neighbors and they know us. Most of the talk at our meetings is about practical things, like who is going to the market or when the seeds will arrive. We don't use any corporate talk because that isn't who we are. We are just folks who work the land. Sometimes the crops are great, and sometimes they aren't, but we keep going regardless. It is a steady way of life. We focus on the daily tasks and try to make sure everyone in the group is doing okay. It’s a community effort more than anything else, really. We spend our days out in the air and our evenings planning for the next harvest. It is a lot of hard work, but it is what we chose to do.
