Nakoda Solar

Out here at 1102 1103 in the GIDC Waghodia area of Vadodara, things are pretty industrial. We deal with solar equipment, so our yard is usually full of panels and metal framing bits. The sun hits the pavement hard in this part of Gujarat, which I guess is good for what we sell. Most of our day is spent unloading crates or loading up trucks for deliveries to different sites. It’s dusty work, and the warehouse can get really hot by mid-afternoon. We have a small office space tucked away from the main storage area where we handle the orders and talk to customers on the phone. Sometimes the forklift acts up, or a delivery is late, and we just have to figure it out as we go. We aren't some big corporate office with fancy rugs; it’s mostly concrete floors and metal shelves. The guys here wear sturdy boots and are usually covered in a bit of grit from moving the mounting hardware around. We focus on making sure the panels are handled carefully because they can be fragile. Folks from the other factories in Waghodia stop by sometimes just to ask how the solar stuff works. We give them a straight answer and show them what we have in stock. It’s a simple business, really. We just keep moving the inventory and keeping the records straight in our ledgers, even when the dust makes it hard to see the ink.
