Voltamp Transformers Ltd.

We’ve got our facility set up on National Highway Number 8 in the Makarpura area of Vadodara. It’s a big industrial zone, so we fit right in here at Voltamp Transformers. We’ve been at this Gujarat location for quite a long time now. The building is mostly dedicated to the workshop and storage for the transformers we handle. It’s not the kind of place where you’d find a fancy reception area. It’s more about the smell of oil and the sound of heavy machinery. We have a lot of workers coming in shifts to keep things moving. Makarpura is a good spot for us because it’s easy for the heavy transport trucks to get to the highway. We deal with some pretty big equipment, so space and access are important. Some days it feels like a lot is going on at once, with parts arriving and finished units being loaded up. We aren't big on corporate talk or anything like that. We just focus on the engineering and making sure everything is built right. It’s a lot of manual work and technical stuff combined. The weather in Vadodara can get pretty hot in the summers, which makes the factory floor even warmer, but we just get on with it. It’s a steady business and we’ve been part of this industrial community for years. We keep the power stuff running and the lights on.
