Our office is on the 2nd floor of Block No 1 at 6-3-662/B / 230 in Punjagutta. It’s a central location which is good for us because we often have to run out to different project sites across the city. Being on the second floor gives us a bit of a break from the direct street noise of Punjagutta, though you can still hear the horns if the windows are open. We spend our time drawing up plans, looking at fabric swatches, or arguing about where a wall should go. The office is full of rolls of blueprints and samples of wood and tile. It’s a creative space, but it’s also very practical. We have some desks pushed together in the middle where we do most of our brainstorming. We don't have a big fancy lobby with a fountain. People just walk up the stairs and come in. Most of the folks working here have been through architecture school, but we’ve learned more from being on actual construction sites than from books. We deal with contractors and laborers just as much as we deal with clients. We don't talk much about "visions" or "concepts" in a flowery way. We just try to figure out how to make a room look decent and function well for the people living in it. It’s a lot of drafting and a lot of phone calls to make sure materials arrive on time.
