Akaar Architects

You’ll find us at 11 Bharani Layout, right on Road 78 in Jubilee Hills, just next to Nyaya Vihar. It’s a well-known part of Hyderabad, and we’ve been working from this spot for a good while. Akaar Architects is a small firm where we mostly just focus on the details of whatever we’re building. We don’t have a big corporate structure or fancy titles. We’re usually just at our desks drawing or out on a site somewhere getting dusty. Jubilee Hills has some very specific styles, and we enjoy working within that landscape. We spend a lot of time talking to local workers and making sure they understand the drawings. It’s not always easy. Sometimes there are language barriers or just different ways of doing things, so we have to be there in person to get it right. Our office isn't a showroom; it’s more of a workspace with piles of bricks, tile samples, and rolls of tracing paper. We don’t believe in over-complicating things with industry jargon. We just talk about where the walls go and how much it’s going to cost. It’s a straightforward approach. We know that building something is a big deal for people, so we try to be as practical and honest as we can about the whole process. There are plenty of long days and a lot of back-and-forth, but seeing a building finally take shape makes it worth the effort.
