Swakastarjit Mahila Farmer Producer Company Limited is located in Bodegaon, which is part of the Darwaha area in Yavatmal. We use Kiran Gautam’s house as our main spot. This group is made up of women who have spent years working in the dirt and under the sun. Farming in Yavatmal can be quite tough, so we thought it would be better to join forces. We don't have any fancy equipment or a big warehouse, just our shared knowledge of the local crops. Most of the time, we are busy in the fields, but we meet up at the house to talk about seeds and what the traders are saying. It’s a very local thing, and we mostly know everyone in the village. We handle our own chores and our own farming business without much outside help. The name might sound official, but we are just a bunch of neighbors trying to make a living. There are no polished brochures or anything like that. We focus on the things that matter, like the quality of our harvest and the health of our soil. There is no corporate polish here, just calloused hands and a lot of practical thinking. We take the good years with the bad years and keep moving forward. Being together as a producer company helps us feel a bit more secure about the future of our farms and our families.
