Godavarivalley Umarkhed Farmers Producer Company Limited is based out of Vivekanand Ward. If you are looking for us, we are right near the Buster Pump on Pusad Road, sharing some space at Sadashiv Bhaurao Ghadge’s place. It is a local setup, nothing fancy at all. We spend most of our time talking to the farmers from around the valley. Everyone knows each other here. The office is small, usually smelling like tea and sometimes like the dirt from someone’s boots. We started this because the farmers needed a way to get their crops sold without getting a bad deal every single time. It is tough work being out in Umarkhed. The weather does not always cooperate, and the roads can be really rough during the monsoon months. We handle a lot of paperwork that the farmers do not have time for because they are busy out in the fields. We are not trying to be some big corporate entity with shiny signs. We just want to make sure the work gets done and the harvest does not go to waste. You might find us sitting outside on plastic chairs when the weather is nice, just discussing the crop prices or the next season's seeds. It is a simple life, and we like it that way. No one here wears a suit. We just wear what is practical for the day's work. It is about helping the community get through the year, one harvest at a time.
