Nirguda Farmer Producer Company Limited

Nirguda Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Wani. The office is actually just at S S Wankar's place, which is in the Poleno area. It's not a big fancy building or anything like that. Just a regular room where we keep the registers and meet up. Wani can get pretty hot in the summer, but we still manage to get things done. We started this company because we wanted to have a way for the local farmers to get together. There’s a lot of paperwork involved in these things, more than I expected when we first talked about it. Most days it is just us talking about the crops and who needs what for the next season. The Nirguda name comes from the local area, and we try to keep things simple here. Sometimes the internet is slow so we have to wait to upload files, which is annoying. People around here know where we are, right by the RP/362 mark. It’s a quiet spot most of the time unless there is a big meeting going on. We don't have a big staff, just a few people helping out with the books and talking to the bank. It's a lot of running around between the fields and this office in Wani. We are just trying to make it work for everyone involved. It isn't always easy, but having a collective makes a bit of a difference for us. Everyone knows the Wankar house, so it’s easy to find us.
