If you head over to the Shivaji Putala area in Kelapur, Yavatmal, that is where you will find us. We are doing this agro tourism thing on our land. It’s a bit different from a regular farm because we actually have people coming over to see what we do. It isn't a five-star hotel or anything fancy. It is just a farm where things grow and people can see the real side of rural life. We spend our days making sure the place is decent for visitors. There’s always a fence to fix or a path to clear. Being in Yavatmal, the weather can get pretty hot, so we plan things around that. We don't really have a polished speech for when people arrive. We just show them around and talk about the plants. Sometimes we sit under the trees and just take a break. It is a lot of work to keep an agro tourism spot going because you have to balance the farming with the visitors. We are right by the landmark so it is easy for anyone to find. It’s just a local business run by people who grew up here. We use the tools we have and try to make the most of the land. It’s a quiet life mostly, except when groups come through and ask a lot of questions about how things grow. We just like being outside and showing people what farming is really like. It is a hard job but seeing people enjoy the countryside makes it feel okay.
