You can find us in Pusad, specifically at number 47 near Mukhre Amarai. We are right by the Madhav Agency, which is a spot most locals in Yavatmal are familiar with. We named our group Raoji Farmer Producer Company Limited because it felt right for our roots here. We aren't some big city operation. We are just a bunch of neighbors who decided to pool our resources and see if we could make a go of it as a collective. The work is mostly what you would expect from a rural area—lots of talk about cotton, pulses, and whatever else is growing in the fields this season. Some days we spend more time looking at ledgers than we do looking at the dirt, but that is just how the business side of things goes. We keep things plain and simple. If you come by, you’ll likely see us sitting on plastic chairs talking about the latest prices or how to fix a shared piece of equipment. Yavatmal isn't an easy place to farm sometimes, with the heat and the way the rains can be unpredictable, but we’ve all lived here long enough to know the deal. We just want to make sure that the people growing the food are getting what they deserve for their hard work. It’s a slow process, but we are stuck in it together and we don't mind the long hours much.
