Akansha Farmers Producer Company Limited is based out of Anjankhed in the Arni taluka. We use Smt. Archana Vitthal Jachak's place as our main point of contact. Yavatmal is known for its farming, but it is also known for being a tough place to make a living sometimes. We started this because we wanted to stop being so isolated. When you’re just one farmer, it’s hard to get good prices or find the right supplies without paying too much. Now that we have this producer company, we can talk to each other and share the burden. It’s a very local thing. We don't have any fancy signs or a big staff. It's mostly just neighbors helping neighbors. We spend a lot of time sitting around and figuring out which crops are going to work best for the next season. There's always some problem to solve, whether it’s the water or the transport. We just take it one day at a time. The office at Anjankhed is where we keep our records and meet up. It’s simple and it gets the job done. We aren't looking to become some huge business; we just want the farmers here to be able to keep their land and provide for their kids. It is honest work, even if it is a bit slow and tiring some days. That's just how life is in the village. We are just a bunch of folks trying to make things a little easier for everyone.
