The factory is situated at Tejli Gate on Old Court Road. We occupy Unit 2-15 in the MIE HSIDC part of Manakpur, which is in Yamuna Nagar. This area is mostly industrial, so there is always the sound of machinery and heavy trucks. Metal strips and industrial supplies are what we handle every day. The air inside usually has that smell of grease and cold steel. Most of the workers here have been on the job for a long time. It isn't the kind of work where you stay clean. By the time lunch rolls around, most of us have oil on our hands. There is no fancy lobby or a receptionist to greet you. If you walk in, you will see us right there on the shop floor with the machines. Getting to this part of Court Road can be slow when the traffic picks up. We have watched many other units open and close in Manakpur over the years. Our focus stays on the cutting machines and the metal. It’s loud in here, so we usually have to raise our voices to be heard. We don't go in for big meetings or corporate talk. The main thing is checking the strips for the right size before the trucks arrive. It’s a solid way to spend the day. The heat from the machines can be a bit much in the summer months, but we just carry on with the work.
