Afzalpur Agriworld Farmers Producer Company Limited is based right here at Shop No 01 in Teghalli. It’s a small spot in the Bandarwadtq area of Afzalpur. Most days start with opening up the shutter and sweeping the front. It’s a local shop where farmers from around the village stop by. You can hear the tractors passing by on the main road all morning. We keep our paperwork in some old folders and try to keep track of what everyone is growing in the surrounding fields. Teghalli is a quiet place mostly, except for market days. The shop isn't very large so it gets crowded quickly when three or four people are inside talking at once. We don't use much technology here, just the basics to get the job done. Often, someone will bring in some samples of their crops to show us how the harvest is looking. We talk about the soil and the prices, which are always changing. It's not always easy running a producer company in a small town like this but we manage. The walls could use some paint, but that’s not a priority right now with the planting season coming up.
